With Archie arrested, it falls to you to use whatever methods you deem fit to try to free your friend. I really hope that the save system is improved significantly so hopefully the Devs find this feedback useful. Mask of the Rose is a dynamic visual novel prequel to. If I am unable to save quickly before quitting then I quite honestly simply will not be able to play it as I don't find it fun to repeat the same dialogues again and again simply because the game won't allow me to save before quitting. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of free time so I may need to quit at short notice. For example Tron Identity saves after every dialogue line so why don't more games do this? I played a bit of this game at WASD and enjoyed what I played and was looking forward to playing it. One of the toughest characters to nail has been Archie, the Scottish medical student at the centre of the game’s murder. Others, however, can take a little longer. Griz, for instance, has barely changed her appearance since the first piece of concept art. If developers want to avoid save scumming then why not save the game when a player quits? This should be possible and a few other games do this. Some of the character designs for Mask of the Rose seem to arrive fully-formed. This is becoming a huge issue as more and more modern games don't include manual saves or save automatically before quitting. Likewise the fact that you cannot manually save or save automatically when you quit the game has completely put me off playing this game.
